My guitar came in with a very strong smell of lacquer.Updated 6 months ago

We’ve had a few reports of a strong smell in some units. 👃

We know it’s not the best first impression, but please rest assured that there’s nothing toxic about it. We comply with all children’s safety standards, including lead levels in paint and varnish (you can see our safety report here).

This usually happens because these are the last guitars built and painted before they’re sent to us. That means they don’t get to air out as much as the rest. In any case, we’ve found the best way to eliminate the smell is to let the guitar air out for a few days. That should do the trick! 👌
